Joy Stock // GERJoy Stock is a driven and enthusiastic 20-year-old from Hamburg, Germany. She currently works as an apprentice at a local bookshop. Joy's journey with ISLI began in 2018 when she attended the program as a student, and she returned the following year as a Regent for Germany. Due to her passion for the program, Joy was chosen to coach newly elected Regents in the subsequent year. To Joy, ISLI has been one of the most transformative experiences of her life. She credits the program with helping her to better understand herself, including her strengths, weaknesses, and capabilities. The sense of community created by ISLI is irreplaceable to Joy, and she is deeply committed to carry on ISLI’s values and goals during her professional career. In addition to her work with ISLI, Joy is an active member of her local community. Joy's passion for service and her dedication to making a positive impact on the world around her is a key aspect of her character, and she hopes to continue to make a difference in her community and beyond. With her energy, passion, and drive, there is no doubt that Joy will continue to make a positive impact on the world around her for years to come.

Elian Pergola // BELElian is a driven and engaged individual with a passion for current affairs and storytelling. Currently pursuing a degree in History at the University of Leuven, he has honed his skills as a digital storyteller and freelance podcast maker since starting his entrepreneurial journey in 2022. His interest in leadership was sparked during his time at the secondary school of Sint-Francis in Heusden-Zolder, where he participated in the ISLI institute in 2018 and later went on to become the Student Regent for Belgium. Elian credits ISLI with teaching him valuable skills in cooperation in an international environment that have been useful in his daily life as the (vice-)president in the Youth Chapter (Mid-Limburg) of AFS Intercultural Programs BE and in his work on the local Youth Council. In addition to his creative entrepreneurship, Elian is also interested in diplomacy and is currently applying for an internship at the United Nations as a representative of the Flemish Government. He has also been selected as one of the 21 ambassadors for "De Warmste Week," a yearly returning charity project of the VRT (the Flemish Public Broadcast) in 2021. Elian's experiences at ISLI have helped him to identify his passion for striving for human needs and rights.

Leona Vyhnálková // CZELeona Vyhnálková is a senior Regent from the Czech Republic with a passion for filmmaking. Currently studying sound design at the Atelier of Audiovisual arts/ Along with her passion for filmmaking, she also has a keen interest in sports such as skiing, dancing, and fitness. In her free time, Leona enjoys being involved in the production of music festivals and other public events. Traveling is another passion of hers, and therefor she has also spent time abroad, having worked for almost half a year in Greece and studied for one semester in Norway. Meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures helped her become more open-minded, independent, and has created new opportunities for her. ISLI is one of those opportunities, and it was a life-changing experience for Leona. She is excited to return and be a part of ISLI once again. Leona values the importance of diversity and inclusion, and she believes that ISLI provides a platform to create a more understanding and welcoming society. She hopes to continue to inspire others and promote positive change through her work at ISLI and beyond.

Cora Fee Parohl // DENAs a young Danish-German, Cora Fee has already experienced the transformative power of international education. At 19 years old, she became the regent for Denmark at ISLI in 2019, a role that has helped her develop invaluable leadership skills and confidence in meeting new people. At first, Cora was overwhelmed by the diverse group of people from all across Europe that she encountered at ISLI. But after the first day, she quickly realized that ISLI was a unique and special environment that fosters personal growth and transformation. ISLI taught Cora that meeting new people doesn't have to be scary. In fact, it can be incredibly uplifting and supportive. She credits her time at ISLI for giving her the confidence to step out of her comfort zone and pursue new opportunities. Cora is now off to school in Denmark for a half year, eager to continue expanding her horizons and learning from different cultures. With her passion for international education and her newfound leadership skills, there's no doubt that Cora will continue to make a positive impact on the world around her.

Hanna Tuckett // FINHanna Tuckett is a regent representing Finland, who has always had a passion for meeting people from all around the world since a young age. Her curiosity about new cultures and perspectives on the world drives her to explore diverse viewpoints, and she enjoys engaging in meaningful discussions over a good cup of coffee. Her experience at ISLI in 2019 was a life-changing one, as it offered her the opportunity to meet and connect with people from various backgrounds who shared her passion for learning and personal growth. Aside from her interest in meeting new people, Hanna has a keen interest in debating, following world politics, and spending time outdoors. She believes in the power of open and honest discussions to build understanding and create change, and she is always seeking to engage with others on topics of mutual interest. As a regent at ISLI, Hanna is excited to share her experiences and insights with others and to help foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.

Tom Kinast // GERTom Kinast is 22 years old and originally from Germany, but currently studying Business at Hult International Business School in London. There he has been working as a TEDx organizer. Tom is passionate about meeting new people and expanding his horizon, which is why he enjoys engaging in diplomatic debating such as Model United Nations. After he attended ISLI in 2018 as a participant and returned as a regent in 2019, he was inspired to pursue a career in business and began studying at Hult International Business School in London. This helps Tom to achieve his goals and build his professional network. In addition to his academic pursuits, Tom is also very active in his community. He volunteers as a mentor for young adults and enjoys sharing his experiences with others. Tom also believes that intercultural exchange is an essential part of personal growth and that it opens up new opportunities for learning and development. That is why he is eager to help others experience the transformative power of ISLI and is committed to building a supportive community of leaders from around the world.

Sien Lenders // BELSien Lenders is a 21-year-old student from Belgium who is currently pursuing her degree in high school teaching with a specialization in Biology and Mathematics. She is proud to represent her country as one of the regents at the ISLI 2023. Sien is a dedicated and motivated individual who is passionate about inspiring and leading others. Sien's experience at ISLI has been transformative, allowing her to understand what true leadership is all about. It was one of the most incredible weeks of her life, and she believes that anyone who attends the conference will feel the same way. Sien has a deep appreciation for the power of community and strives to create a more inclusive environment for all individuals. In her spare time, Sien is actively involved in social and youth organizations. She is a leader at a local youth association called Chiro, where she focuses on fostering a sense of belonging and inclusivity for everyone. Sien's dedication to social engagement and community building make her an exceptional leader and an excellent representative for Belgium at ISLI.
