The Regents set the example and envisioned the future of this ISLI

Monday marked the first full day of content, and with it the first leadership sessions of the week. Tess and Jakub opened the programme with a presentation on what it truly means to come together as a group. Beyond simply working side by side, they explored how trust, shared responsibility, and active inclusion form the basis of effective teamwork. Leadership, as they emphasised, begins with strengthening the group itself.

The second session, led by Andrei and Kaat, shifted the focus from cohesion to direction. Participants were guided through the process of clarifying group values and understanding how these values shape decisions, culture, and long-term goals. Envisioning the future was not presented as abstract dreaming, but as a strategic exercise rooted in shared principles.

Right before lunch, the participants were surprised with the newsbreak. This year the regents added a creative twist to it. The regents appeared as iconic musical characters during an award show — only to face an unexpected challenge that required them to collaborate under pressure. The storyline mirrored the day’s lessons: strong teams are built on shared values, and vision only works when people truly work together.

With that, the foundation for the week was firmly set.
