Authentic Leadership with lots of courage and getting to know new cultures
Monday passed by really quick: the participants cannot believe the first day is already over. They learned how to clarify the values within their color groups, and that made their facilitators proud. To end the day, they got to know the Regents better during the interest groups.
The Regents set the example and envisioned the future of this ISLI
Monday really laid the foundation of our leadership programme. The cologroups are building stronger team bonds and started clarifying their shared values. After the first two presentations, the participants were surprised with a musical Newsbreak twist.
SUNDAY: the start of a new week, with new friends
ISLI has officially begun! New roommates, new colourgroups, and a hall filled with anticipation. With the official opening, icebreakers, and the introduction of regents and facilitators, the 42nd International Student Leadership Institute truly kicked off.
The first connections of ISLI 2026
The first ISLI moments didn’t happen in the hostel, but on a train platform. A joke about the “Swedish train,” a shared wait in Koblenz, a climb up the hill to “Hotel Oberwesel” — and just like that, strangers began turning into a community.
